Our Trip To Mima-Papa's!

A few weeks ago, we went to Mima and Papa's for the week to spend some time, since Daddy had a busy week and we needed a little time with our New York fam!

We had such a fun time, here are a few snippets of the giggles and adventures. :)

We played "Toll Bridge", which is a game that my Dad made up when we were Reilly and Reagan's age, and now the girls love it too. :)  Above is Reilly sneaking past the sleeping Toll keeper, and Reagan waking him up like the honest little girl she is.

This was hilarious, as Papa would ask the girls questions to get by, and Reilly kept answering for Reagan.  Then one time he asked their favorite animal, and the both said elephant (I have no idea where they got that from...), and then after that every time Reagan went through she yelled, "I LIKE ELEPHANTS!" We were hysterical laughing.

Mimi gave Reagan these glasses (which were from a costume), and Reagan didn't take them off all week.  She looked like a little old lady, and it was awesome.

The girls having cereals in the morning on the steps.

Reilly said, "Silly Selfie!", and Reagan had to check to see what she meant by that. ;)

We went to visit Mimi at work one day, and man did they love her spinning chair!

 We love Mimi!!

That day we came home, and it was SO WARM out, that the girls went down for nap, and Declan and I took a walk around the neighborhood.  Then after dinner we had ice pops on the stoop.  Yes, it was heavenly.

 Papa and his little chickies!

This might be one of my favorite pictures of all time, because it most perfectly portrays my boy and his existence.  His girls are hovering over him at all times, and he is just STARING right at me! Ha!

My sweeties reading with Mima.  This is her favorite thing to do with her boopas.

 My beauty girl.

I love this little muffin. Mommy's man.

This is one kick ass big sister.  She loves holding her baby!

Chickies at snack time.  As you can see, they are rarely smiling at Mima and Papa's. ;)

 Baby feet. <3 p="">

One day we took them to Nunley's Carousel, which was another full-circle moment for me!  Nunley's is a Long Island institution (just as Billy Joel), and we used to go on the exact carousel when we were little with my Grandma and Poppy.  So much fun.

The girls were so excited!  They started cracking up when it started going faster.
My mom looks 26. Just saying.
 Hold on tight!

Declan hopped on for a sec. :)

 Me and my girls!

Then they had lunch on this bench and Reilly had an artificial conversation with Papa. It was very intense. Then she put him on hold, and came back to him, and said, "Ugh, he hung up." HAH.

We did so many other fun things like shopping trips, breakfast with our Wallick girls, and lots of reading and playing and yummy New York food. :)

Thank you for tons and tons of fun at the New York house everyone!  We love every minute we spend there, and I love sharing my childhood experiences with my little beans.

This Little 2 Year Old

I could talk for hours about this little bean of ours, so I'm happy to dedicate a little time today to take a little snapshot of who she is at two.  Two is just an amazing age.  I am so in love with everything about this age.  Reagan is so funny and so adorable in everything she does.  I mean, she runs, and it's this little waddle combined with a hysterical giggle - every time. (Daddy says he hopes she always runs the way she does now).  She talks, and it's so slowly and deliberate and in her sweet little Reagan voice.  She protests or argues, and it's funny to watch her try to navigate being angry and running away from me and hiding in the bathroom.  Like, really?  You think I won't be able to find you in the bathroom and then you won't have to nap?  Haha.

Her hair comes down in the soft little tendrils, and she loves wearing bows. When she wakes up in the morning, she is always wiping her whispy pieces out of her eyes when her hair is all flopsy.  Her smile is the sweetest, and she knows it. She will climb up on the stools at the island, spread across the island on her belly reaching for the candy dish, and then turn her head and flash me her smile when I look at her.  Little stinker. ;)

She LOVES wearing dresses (and consequently HATES taking them off at bedtime), and will spin and spin when she puts it on and say "Reagan so pretty!"

She worships her sister.  Sissy can do no wrong.  Everything Sissy says is repeated, everything she does is the funniest, everywhere she goes she is followed, everything she touches is the coolest toy in the house.  Luckily Reilly doesn't mind most of the time having a living breathing shadow. :)  She loves her little "rerun" as Papa calls her.  As soon as Reilly gets in the car from school, Reagan says, "SISSY I MISS YOU!!!!!"  By far, my favorite moment of each day.

Reagan is BabyDec's #1 fan.  She is his little pint-sized fan club. When she wakes up from her nap she always says, "Hi Mommy! Good sleep? Go see BabyDecy?" (She always asks me if I had a good sleep as if we all sleep at naptime.) Most days they nap in the same room right next to each other, they are little nap buddies.

She is an insane eater and loves her mealtime.  She cheers and runs to her plate whenever it's time to eat, and will eat anything I put in front of her.

She is a sleep master. She has recently stopped napping twice a day (seriously), but will probably still nap when she's 5.  She could nap up to 4 hours some days.  She loves all her snuggly guys (her current favorites are Buddy, Kitty Cats, Minnies Mouse, and Mickeys Mouse). She carries as many of them around with her as she can manage while sucking her little thumb.  I will cry when she stops sucking that thumb.

She is so polite, always say "Tinkyouu" and "Feeeease". She loves coloring, stickers, Barbies, babydolls, her Snow White dress, shoes and ALL accessories, wearing sunglasses, and Princesses.  She loves watching Sofia, Mickeys Mouse, or "Go Go" (Jake and the Neverland Pirates).  I actually can't even think of a favorite food, because she loves everything.  She has yogurt every morning because it's her Sissy's favorite, and she does love her bananas.  Her favorite color is "pink", which I put in quotes because this was decided entirely by her sister about a year ago, and Reagan has been told it's true so many times that she now believes it. Haha. She may always think her favorite color is pink and never know that she never actually chose it!

My entire family tells me that seeing Reagan is so strange, because it's like a little me walking around.  Apparently, when I was her age, I was exactly like Reagan in every aspect.  Which I think is so special.  Because that means I was an AWESOME little angel. :) But seriously, seeing her is like hearing stories of my childhood come to life.  Reagan, you are the epitome of love.  My favorite moments are hearing you speak, learn, and follow your sister.  Your hysterical giggle is addictive. Rocking you before bed with your head on my shoulder, your thumb in your mouth, while I sing "You Are My Sunshine", might be one of my most cherished moments. I hope you are exactly as you are, for always. And if you always let me stroke your hair and sing You Are My Sunshine, I wouldn't mind that either. :)

Our Little Lights

Words cannot describe the light that these three bring to us each day.

I feel like I look at these pictures and I can see them when they are older. Their relationship and friendship with each other.  Reagan checking her Sissy for approval.

Reilly sassing it up, Reagan making sure Declan is okay.

Sharing their sweet giggles with each other.

So thankful for these 3 every day.  I love watching them grow.

It is such a blessing to be their Mommy every day.  I can't wait to see the light that they shine to the world.

(p.s. that laughter came from an awesome knock-knock joke told by yours truly ;) )

Rea of Sunshine!

So last year, as I was preparing for Reagan's first birthday party, (literally the
night before), the theme for her second birthday party came to me.  REA OF SUNSHINE.  She is such a little happy thing, such a light. I can't describe how happy and sweet she is.  She has never thrown a tantrum, and rarely cries or protests anything.  So, she just learned the word "No", but has not quite learned how to use it, so when she opposes something it's still very comical.

Mommy: "Reagan, let's go put on jammies!"
Reagan:  "Nooo jammies!  Noo naptime!"
Mommy: "Yes, jammies, time for beddy." (picks her up)
Reagan: (puts thumb in mouth and head on my shoulder)

See what I mean?  It's just funny. Like, oh, listen to you, pretending to say no to mommy.  :) So cute.

So here is a picture overload of our day celebrating our little sunshine girl!
(Photos courtesy of Alyssa, our Satta! :) I am obsessed with every photo you took thank you millions!)
We had a brunch with friends and family.  On our menu was:
Sunshine fruit salad, banana bread, breakfast egg casserole, macaroni and cheese, and New York bagel of course. :)

Reilly helped mommy paint paper plates and turn them into suns!  I love homemade decorations.

Plates and cheese platter, in the shape of suns. :)

 Reagan Kate's little throne!

Lemon water, lemonade, and mimosas for our yellow brunch.

And this little doll baby looking adorable in yellow!

Gift opening.  Her sunglasses were her first gift (from Mommy and Daddy) and she didn't take them off.
Funny Story: This girl LOVES accessories.  Completely on her own accord, girlfriend is obsessed with shoes, headbands, jewelry, hats, sunglasses...all accessories. And it's not even Reilly-influences, she loves these things way more than Reilly does!  She is too funny.  I can't wait to see this girl shop when she's older!

Reagan has been loving her new shades...she sits in the backseat and when the sun goes in her eyes, she says "Mommy, light off!", as if I turned it on. :)  Then Reilly says, "Honey, close your eyes."  And she says, "Oh, okay."  and closes her eyes.  This happens an average of 5 times per car ride.  Same conversation every time.

Love this girl and her "yollpops".

This picture is in here purely for BabyDec's hilarious frown.  He cracks me up,

As soon as she unwrapped these shoes, she took off her ballet flats and these NEEDED to be on her feet.  What did I tell you? ;)

 My babygirl :)

A sunshine of cupcakes!

Sleepy little angel with her Buddy.  This baby would still probably take 2 naps a day, so by the time it was time for cake, babygirl was ready for bed.

Sunshine Family shot!  Can we talk about how handsome Daddy is in yellow?

 Our littlest girl is two!

And our biggest girl is one sassy and hilarious little chick!

Does she ever LOVE her mimi.

This photo is one that I love.  There aren't pictures of the every-day of motherhood. And this picture of something that I do every day for my kiddies, wiping there hands every day, many times a day, is so sweet to me. Her little curls and little bow.  I won't have these tasks to do every day, one day they will wipe their own little hands...so when I see this picture, I smile.  I smile at the little tasks of mommyhood that make up my very full days.

 Uncle Matt adores this babygirl!

My two boys.  This picture makes me melt, those smiles.

 Giggle girl and her Papa.

Phew, what a day, huh little man!

I am always overwhelmed at their birthday parties of how much love they are shown.  We are very blessed to have SO many people in our life who truly love our children, both near and far away (some were here on this day, some were not).  God has given us so many people who surround our family every day with support and fill us up with love, and this day was no different.
Happy Day to our sweet Babygirl!  You make us happy when skies are gray, Reagan Kate. :)
